Your help is need even if you are not an exhibitor.............
Just to say that the Owen Jones travelling exhibition and workshop programme is now full steam ahead. Please find out more on the web site both the in public and members section. If you would like to contribute some time towards helping out with the programme in your county on both Meet the Maker days or 1/2 day workshops for schools then please contact us soonest.
This project is a great step forward in working towards our aims of forging links with galleries and museums in our region and promoting textile art to both schools and the wider public.

Correction
Hi All,
It was brought to my attention that I have "messed up" ! slightly on the submission forms for the project. In the introductory paperwork I asked for photos, etc to be with me by 14th August but then sent out the submission forms to be returned by 31st August without any mention of photos!
So to clarify the situation, Submission Forms as sent out must be returned by 31st August but you can email me a JPEG by 30th September with a hard copy image in with you actual work.
Many thanks

Update
The planning is in its final stages and submission forms are being sent out by email today to those people registered.
The submission fee has now been set at £35 and members can still registered on this project until 31st August with work ready for submission on 30th September.
There is also the opportunity for members participating to earn fees for workshops.
You can go to the web site, members section, and download the submission form for full details.
It is a shame nobody is using this blog to share ideas and work together..............

Progress
How is everyone doing with this project? Anyone got any comments to post or pics to share? I am busy working out the touring exhibition - what a lot of work so glad I made the decision not to submit a piece as I definately couldn't do both.
I know that some of you are teachers or run classes. Can you give some thought as to a workshop to accompany the exhibition along the lines of Study, Design, Make. Basically what we have done for this project. There are going to be opportunites over the length of the exhibition for us to run workshops with a paid tutor fee. Does this wet anyone's appetite?
